Installing the Blind inside the opening Recess Mount

(also known as Reveal)

Use this method of to get the correct measurements to enter in the Width and Height boxes if you have sufficient space for your chosen type of blind and want to install your blind inside the Recess as shown below.

1.Measure the inside (Width) of the Recess from side to side in three places in millimetres as shown in the diagram. Positions 1,2 & 3.

2.Measure the inside (Height) of the Recess from top to bottom in three places in millimetres as shown in the diagram. Positions A,B & C.

Enter the smallest Width and Height measurements and be sure to select Recess in the Mount option box.

Do not make any Deductions on your measurements before entering. We will make the Deductions for you.
These will vary with the type of Blind. Contact us if you require special deductions necessary for your situation.

N.B. With Roller Blinds the Width measurement at position 1 at the top is the most important as this is where the brackets will fit. Enter this measurement providing all 3 measurements vary by less than 10mm.
If in doubt please contact us.

We deduct 4mm for each Recess Mount Roller Blind. If any of your Roller blinds are side x side in the same Recess please advise us in the Additional Comments box or contact us to discuss. This will avoid any unnecessary deductions.

Installing the blind outside the opening Face Mount

(onto the wall or architrave)

Use this method to get the correct measurements to enter in the Width and Height boxes if you don't have sufficient space in the Recess or just prefer to install your blind onto the wall or architrave as shown below.

How to Measure

1.Measure the Width in millimetres of how wide you would like the blind to be, either from architrave to architrave or allowing the desired overlaps on both sides.

2.Measure the Height in millimetres from architrave to architrave or allowing the desired overlaps at the top and bottom.

Enter the Width and Height measurements and be sure to select Face in the Mount option box. Blinds ordered as Face Mount will be made to these exact sizes. No Deductions will be made.

N.B. With Roller Blinds the width is the complete Blind including Brackets. It is NOT only the Fabric width!

Blind size is always the complete product including any tracks, brackets, headboxes or valances!

PLEASE NOTE;  All of our Custom Made blinds are supplied with the relevant brackets but you will need to provide your own screws/fixings for installation. Simply put, we don’t know what surface you will be fitting into... Different screws and plugs will be required for different surfaces. There is a guide in our Installation section showing the different fixings for different wall construction. Your local hardware can also be of assistance.
