Slimline 25mm and 50mm Aluminium Venetians Installation Guide

NOTE: It will be easier to install larger blinds with two people.

Inside RECESS mount:

Your Aluminium Venetian blinds will come with spring loaded installation brackets that attach to the top of the headrail. They don't fit on the end of the headrail like Timber Venetians. Always handle your blind by the metal head rail.

  1. Place your brackets about 100mm from each end and then evenly throughout the length of the blind on longer blinds. Please make sure that none of the brackets interfere with any of the internal workings of the head rail.
  2. Drill one screw per bracket through each bracket and into the top of the window frame.
  3. Holding the blind from underneath the head rail, hook the front lip of the head rail over the front section of the bracket and hold the back of the head rail at a slight downward angle.
  4. Now push your head rail towards the window (it is spring loaded) and then lift the back of the head rail flush with the front in one continuous motion and let it clip into place. This will hook the head rail under the rear lip of the bracket. This may need to be repeated along the blind if your blind is quite large.
  5. Now your blind is installed correctly. To operate, pull toward the middle (this will unlock the cord lock) and move the cord back into the vertical position and slowly release the cord. To lock your blind off before it is all the way down, simply angle the cords to the outer side of the blind and release the cord.
  6. Lastly attach the current model child safety device to make sure the cords are kept out of reach for children.

NOTE: When operating your blinds up and down.  The cord lock is designed for you to pull the blind up and down by pulling the cords DIAGONALLY across the front of the blind. Return the cords to the vertical position to lock off.

Outside FACE mount:

  1. Place your brackets about 100mm from each end and then evenly throughout the length of the blind on longer blinds. Please make sure that your brackets do not interfere with the internal workings of the head rail.
  2. Drill one screw per bracket through each bracket and into the top of the window frame.
  3. Holding the blind from underneath the head rail, hook the front lip of the head rail over the front of the entire working of the bracket and hold the back of thehead rail at a slight downward angle.
  4. Now push your head rail back towards the window (it is spring loaded) and then lift the back of the head rail flush with the front in one continuous motion and let it clip into place. This will hook the head rail under the rear lip of the bracket. This may need to be repeated along the blind if your blind is quite large.
