Roller Blind Installation Guide

NOTE: It will be easier to install larger blinds with two people.

Inside RECESS mount:

Your roller blinds will come with brackets and child safety device that must be installed by law.

  1. With each roller blind you will receive a male and a female bracket. The Male bracket is used for the chain control side where as the female side is used for the pin end (Non control side)
  2. Drill 2 screws into each bracket. Please ensure that the male bracket is placed on the same side as that you ordered as your “control” side.
  3. Having a look at your original order, locate the blinds “roll” style. If “Front Roll” was ordered, please ensure your fabric comes off the front of the tube. If you ordered “Back Roll”
  4. Insert the chain control side of the blind (male side) first. Before inserting your blind, please ensure that you have the two markings on the chain control facing the ceiling. This will mean the chain will hang down evenly out of the front and back side of the chain control.
  5. Whilst holding the control side into it bracket, guide the female spring loaded pin end into the slot of the female bracket and push in until the spring clicks into place.
  6. Your blind is now secured into position and it can be easily operate by pulling on one front side of the chain to raise and no the back side of the chain to raise your roller blind.
  7. You may now need to Tune your roller blind. If the fabric is not rolling evenly around the tube and rolling off to one side we call this 'spooling'! This may result in the edge of the fabric rubbing on the bracket and being damaged. It is easily adjusted, please see the video called 'Tuning your roller blind' on our video installation guide page.
  8. Lastly attach the child safety device to make sure the cords are kept out of reach for children.

Outside FACE mount:

Your roller blinds will come with brackets and child safety device that must be installed by law.

  1. With each roller blind you will receive a male and a female bracket. The Male bracket is used for the chain control side where as the female side is used for the pin end (Non control side)
  2. Hold the brackets up to the window frame or wall where you need them to be located and mark through the holes with a pencil. (bear in mind that the measurement you gave us will be from outside of male bracket to outside of female bracket)
  3. Drilling a small 2mm pilot hole will make screwing in your brackets much easier. Screw the brackets to the wall or window frame ensuring they are straight.

Removing your Roller Blinds:

To remove your roller blind, turn the clear wheel at the pin end anticlockwise. This is opposite the chain side. This will allow the sprung loaded pin to retract and allow you’re blind to be slid down and out of the female side. The male side will then slide off easily.

Adjusting the Pin End Mechanism:

If you turn the clear wheel in the clockwise direction the pin will click and extend out in 1mm increments for a snugger fit in the brackets. It will fully retract after click number 9.
