Vertical Blinds Installation Guide

Inside Recess fit:

  1. When fitting the recess brackets, ensure the longer tail faces the window so you don?t see this when the head rail is clipped into place.
  2. Fit the bracket to the ceiling or window frame with a gap (from the window) of at least 55mm if you ordered 89mm slats or 75mm for 127mm slats, this will ensure your slats don?t hit the window or handles when tilting.
  3. The brackets should be at least 50mm in from each end. Now fit the remaining brackets evenly along the width of your window.
  4. Now tilt and fit the grove on the front edge of the head rail into the front lip of the bracket. Then press the back of the head rail up into position until it clicks.
  5. Ensuring the hanger openings are all facing you, clip a few of the slats into place with all the seams facing the same way. Try to tilt these slats fully left and fully right, if the slats close fine, then continue adding the remaining slats.
  6. Lastly attach the child safety device to make sure the cords are kept out of reach for children.
  7. NOTE: If they do not tilt fully both ways, pull the tilt cord all the way to the left or right until you hear the rachet noise, then your hangers are re-aligned and you can proceed with hanging the remaining slats.

  8. You may have been supplied a few extra slats, these may be used if one slat gets damaged in the future.

FACE fitting:

  1. FACE fit brackets need to be installed approx 5cm from the end of the head rail so mark the position with a pencil.
  2. Fit the bracket to the wall or window frame with a gap (from the window) of at least 55mm if you ordered 89mm slats or 75mm for 127mm slats, this will ensure your slats don?t hit the window frame or handles.
  3. The brackets should be at least 50mm in from each end. Now fit the remaining brackets evenly along the width of your window.
  4. Lastly attach the child safety device to make sure the cords are kept out of reach for children.
